Another disadvantage of keywords (from my experience) is they build up quickly. That is, if each of your notes has three or four keywords, your list of keywords can quickly out pace your list of notes. I suppose that this is why Daly likes IH so much… it allows you to categorize your keywords, thus helping you to manage your keyword list.
I abandoned Personal Knowbase as a practical repository of all my information because the keyword list grew too fast. I do use PK for specialized purposes; primarily it is where I keep the catalog copy for each of the products we sell. This is a nice, tidy database with a limited number of keywords, and it provides RTF support and does a nice job exporting to formats that work well in Quark and PageMaker.
