I can't recall whether Evernote was discussed here or not. However, it was mentioned recently on the Getting Things Done List I manage at Yahoo. I had taken a quick look at Evernote before, and decided to look at it again. It seems to have a lot of power, while maintaining a unique and simple approach.
Its way of accessing notes is through its search capabilities, and an ability to filter the list by using one or more categories (keywords). The program (free in beta) comes with some pre-set categories and a number of templates. Notes can receive text input, as well as handwriting and web page data.
