Ergonomics of Appearance

ADM's appearance has taken a beating at times from folks who don't like the "look." However, after spending some time getting acquainted with Ultra Recall and Knowledge Workshop, and then returning this morning to do some of my "real work" on ADM 3, I found it a pleasant relief.

I guess I have the Windows "blues." The Windows design is nice, but it becomes tiresome when every program starts to look the same. Moreover, and of greater importance than "mere" appearance, some of these Windows kit programs don't give users the ability to shift font sizes in the tree, thus making life more difficult for those of us who have middle-aged eyes that ain't what they used to be. Ergonomics relates to such concerns, and in terms of being able to set colours and font sizes in the tree, I find ADM much more ergonomically friendly than the new offerings.

Similarly, I find MDE InfoHandler, the other program I use for my "real work," to be ergonomically friendly.

Daly,

ADM and MDE InfoHandler have substantial overlap of functionality. How do you decide which to use?

Yankee Clipper X has functionality called "Auto-Filter" which allows to specify name of EXE based on which every clipping copied by that software will be redirected to user defined collection. There is no limitation to number of collections. It also has something called Auto Blocker, which blocks clippings copied from specific software.
