What is incredible is the arrogance and insensitivity Micro Logic shows towardInfo Select users, and the lack of thought as to how features are implemented.

It’s perhaps symptomatic of their problems that Micro Logic allowed its public relations consultant to take over the Info Select Yahoo group.

Info Select is OK if one uses the very basic features, but it you want to use it as a way of browsing the web or getting mail or reading news you’re in for interesting times.

I predicted last year that version 9 would be either a major revision of the product, or a complete rewriting of the code. One of the people on the user group suggested some of the problems with IS stem from the fact that a lot of it’s code is antiquated, and is less adaptable than what is being written today.

I was always struck by reading the group as to how many people had the same beef about poor/no response from the company.

It seems to me that the company suffers from a major complacency, perhaps stemming from the fact that it may have some business users that have many copies of the software.
