I have decided I must be afflicted with a new mental disorder I'm calling compulsive reactive information management purchase, or CRIMP. I came to this diagnosis as I was contemplating the number of IM programs I have bought in the past few years. I decided to list them (using BrainStorm, of course). After I compiled my initial list, I found three additional ones I'd forgotten about just on my desktop at work... who knows what I'll find on my home computer:
askSam
AZZ CardFile
BrainStorm*
HyperClip
InfoSelect*
InfoStore
InfoTree32
Inspiration
ListPro*
Literary Machine
MyBase
MyInfo
NoteMap
Personal Knowbase*
The Journal*
TreeDBNotes*
UltraRecall*
WhizFolders
Zoot*
Maybe they will run a telethon for me.

Thank you Steve,
My own CRIMP symptoms follow; I assume that the asterisk signifies programs currently in use.
B-Liner*
BrainStorm*
HyperClip*
IdeasPad
InfoMapping FSProWord
MindGenius
MyBase
Personal Brain*
Time & Chaos
Time Calendar*
UltraRecall*
In addition I've obtained the following from magazine covers (not necessarily a cheaper alternative):
allCLEAR
ConceptDraw
MindManager 2002
..and am currently contemplating purchase of
Axon Idea Processsor
OneNote
MyInfo
Notwithstanding, I have actually rejected (well, almost, the trial versions are still installed) purchase of the following; I think this is a sign of presence of antibodies:
Webplanet Concept X7
MDE Infohandler
Finally, it's interesting to note that I have used extensively some freeware / open source programs without feeling I'm missing something; I think this represents a drug substitute strategy.
