You need to get into the editor to import an rtf file. That’s what I didn’t know. Double click on the top left window opening the rtf editor, go File:Open, and navigate to your file and select it, and there it is. I had been pasting into the upper left window, which I guess doesn’t itself have full rtf capabilities.

Have you ever tried to use BrainStorm as a database, say using color to distinguish headings from text?
