Yes, I’d be the first to acknowledge that the Word way of outlining isn’t going to suit everyone.
But one of the key things about outliners is that different people find different models congenial. I
like the Word way precisely because it’s significantly different, and integrates writing and outlining
in a different way, to the standard model of outlining. Some kinds of outlined writing I’d prefer to
do in Word, others in More; it depends very much on the kind of document and document structure.
But outliners are as personal as ways of working, and I doubt everyone (even here) will necessarily
agree with my own creed that you can never have too many different outliners. That’s why it’s
so enjoyable to read other people’s accounts of how they work with More - especially the threads
on cloning and web management. (Doesn’t mean we have to do it, though…!)
