Its current inability to open more than one database at a time (and consequent inability to search more than one database at a time) is its major drawback as far as I can see so far.-Steve Zeoli

I don’t think that inability is merely current. Although the developer wants to allow the user to open more databases, that isn’t the approach it contemplates. The preferred approach—from the developer’s standpoint—is to put all of your data in one file. One advantage is ease of backup.
For importing web material, it offers an approach I haven’t seen or at least noticed elsewhere. You can type in the url, and it will import the corresponding web page directly into the program in compressed form. You can import to a general repository for later classification or to any point in the tree. I’m curious—will Zoot! do that?
There may be alternative approaches to what you want from separate accessible files. UR has a go back and forward button, like a browser, but it is more powerful than a browser’s because of UR Single Document Interface. You get a complete listing of every tree item you have viewed. So let’s say you need to be able to hoist to one of the second-level folders in UR. You can click on that folder, which will win it a place on the go back list. Then when you want to hoist to that folder, you can pull down the go back list and choose the folder. I don’t know if that serves your purposes.
