I see it got messed up worse than I realized.
This much is legible:
Here’s a tabulation of the features most relevant for my purposes. To a first approximation, the features are of equal value.
To the next approximation, features decline in importance moving from left to right, with decent rtf pasting or import an essential requirement. The last requirement elimates the three at the bottom of the list and produced the top to bottom ordering.
UR + + + + - 4 TexNotes + - + + - 3 Pro HyperClip + - - + + 3 + - + + - 3 MyInfo3 ¨ + + + - 3 Idea! - + + - - 2 ADM - + + - - 2
First column: Correct import (or pasting) of rtf; Second column: Cloning; Third column: Multiple selection in tree; Fourth column: MDI interface (usually tabs); Fifth Column: Divide note with keystroke.
I applied the criteria liberally, for example, even though UR’s developers describe the program SDI, I classify it as MDI because it has back and forward buttons containing history, which serves most of the purposes of tabs. And MyInfo3 only allows multiple selection among siblings, but the compromise that imposes for my purposes is small.
