Well, I wasn’t saying {(p==>q)==>(q==>p)} is a valid argument. I only wondered on what basis, if any, users who believe (p==>q) reject (q==>p), in this specific case.
The automobile/heater analogy suggest a distinction between a big expensive primary product and a small almost universally required accessory. We disagree on the “almost universally required” as applied to time management programs, but without implicating that disagreement, there’s a disanalogy as to size and price. The price and size of a good time management program like Time and Chaos is roughly the same as a good information manager like Ultra Recall (although they say the price will increase after the introductory period—but who really knows).
Because of the disanalogy I am actually a little surprised that the professional users here want a unitary program, as opposed to interoperable programs (e.g. MyInfo3 and Plana; MS Outlook and MS OneNote). How do you all know that the calendar program a pim developer will choose to combine in one indivisible unit will have the features the you want or will work as you would like? You may have to buy a separate calendar program anyway.
