GV is alive & well on my laptop. GV has macro capabilities and a reconfigurable keyboard. GV’s outlining capabilities are fantastic…NoteMap’s and Ecco’s are puny. (I don’t know anything about BrainStorm’s, as I brainstorm within my skull.)
Using macros for printer control, I was even able to do math equations with GV.
GV probably wasn’t ported to Windows because 1) Symantec probably thought it wouldn’t sell with Outlook available for free; 2) it used a very unique file format that Windows programming tools probably couldn’t handle; 3) John Friend probably became involved in other things.
