Stephen,

My initial reaction is that I don’t think the implementation of The Journal’s topics is similar to GV’s category/assignment features. But upon thinking about it, I guess in effect, if not in implementation, it is somewhat similar, with the huge difference being that GV could assign categories automatically, while in The Journal assigning topics is entirely manual.
