I don’t use the Literary Machine, but I considered trying it. What puts me of is that the developer cautions you not to push the database too hard, or else it will crash. That isn’t something I expect to have to worry about. Then there’s the fact that you can do things within the program that mangle your data. This kind of application should in my view be more encouraging of exploration, without the fear of the Fatal Error.
It seems the program is so complex, its use never becomes automatic. The developer appears to think this is the necessary price for power.
