Data management and outlining are different, but they aren’t completely different. When I have a little time’ I’m going to post a few thoughts on a continuum theory of knowedge management tools. But Franz’s ‘completely’ was probably hyperbolic: InfoSelect, after all, is built aroundd an outliner.
Data management and outlining are 2 completely separate applications: One means collecting (and organizing - I don¥t need an outliner for that), the second is part of the writing process.
I use 3 tools for these processes:
