The other is Hyperclip, which I use as my main Project / Contact Manager. I guess I could have chosen more or less any outliner of the ones discussed in this forum. I like Hyperclip’s “flat index” feature when checking To-Do’s etc, but the main reason I chose it was that its files are plain XML. Its main disadvantage in contact management is that I can’t assign fields of any kind. Mybase is better in this regard.

I’m now cleaning the dust off my programming skills to see if I can build an XML translator to automate exporting contacts to Excel or whatever. Hyperclip 2.0 will use XML instead of RTF internally, which could make it ideal for mixing freeform and structured data.
