The batch file I use to start GV on my Win98SE laptop is
c:
cd \progra~1\grandv~1
gv /t/l/W
/t disables network support
/l (or /L) loads the last saved window setup
/W disables GV’s Alt-Tab and Alt-Spacebar commands for Windows compatibility.
I have found that on my Win2000 computer at work, I get a much better screen display if I add to my GV shortcut (formerly called a PIF file) a keyboard shortcut (i.e., a key combination that brings up GV). That is, using the key combination to bring up GV works much better than double-clicking on the shortcut icon. I vhave no idea why.
