I think I’d prefer to have all three in one application, where there is some likelihood of gtting all three components to talk to each other. Ideally, I’d even like 3.5 - i.e. an outlining component that changes, when necessary into a full-function word-processor - like Word, but less fragile and with better outlining :-).

I thought at one time that NotaBene might do the trick for me, but the outliner turned out not to really be one, and the other functions were all implemented better elsewhere.
