I agree. Although Zoot does not do indexed searches, it is quick - and the ability to whittle down your search results by applying successive filters is very useful.
It is probably the closest to what Lotus Agenda might have become if it had ever moved to Windows (although Infohandler claims this as well). It has a rather steep learning curve - as they say - but recently a better help file has been added, and you can download a huge database of past forum messages for use in Zoot.
I love Zoot (probably because I loved Agenda), and can’t imagine doing research without it. Its lack of rtf IS a drawback, but for pure power in storing and manipulating information I haven’t found a better program yet.
