This is just a small note to highlight the positive response from three software developers I’ve had the pleasure of communicating with during the last few months.
Brainstorm, Ideaspad and Hyperclip are three of the programs I evaluated as organisational aids; they all offer specific unique features which I considered quite useful for my project management and writing needs. They also presented specific issues I was concerned about.
I found all three developers very responsive and definitely worth collaborating with to tackle the relevant problems. In the case of Brainstorm and Hyperclip, these were related to the handling of Greek fonts and have now been resolved. In the case of Ideaspad, my concern was file compatibility; Ideaspad now supports XML export.
I’m not sure how much this subject really fits the regular Outliners.com theme spectrum, but as a rather demanding user, I find that a responsive developing team can make a big difference for me in practice; it definitely has influenced my buying decisions.
