Notes isn’t exactly like TexNotes. The Nodes node uses an editor that’s separate from the note display and doesn’t have a tabbed interface for open notes. You can have multiple notes open in separate windows in the editor in the Notes Node of D.O., but not in TexNotes.

The Notes Node of D.O. does not allow multiple selections in the tree, as TexNotes allows.

Neither program gives you the full range of text editing commands: triple click doesn’t work or shift click to extend a selection.
