Gather & Clone

One feature I really like and don't seen anywhere else: gather and clone. I used MORE during depositions to take notes, then I'd gather and clone stuff from individual witnesses to create an integrated chronology that was easily updated.

A nice feature was the ability to selectively mark and unmark before gathering up the pieces. For law work, MORE was a treasure: able to tolerate the free-flow of words and ideas, but enough structure and search ability to gather related thoughts. Sometimes you need something more than a word processor and less rigid than a database.

I don't know of any existing software that does anything like it. Pity.

I agree. I use it to help me cross-examine also, by searching my notes for the name of a witness to cross-examine, then gathering and coning the results to form a check list for my cross-examination of that witness.
