Thanks for the various comments and suggestions.

I was aware of IS and Zoot’s email grabbing capabilities. I used IS for years but its import facility didn’t meet my needs (I haven’t tried V. 8) and I couldn’t use it as my primary email client. Zoot I’ve admired from afar but I don’t have time to learn it. I’ll check out NoteLens.

I’m very taken with Idea!‘s method of handling email and file attachments. It’s a pity that it’s so expensive as it is probably my major software discovery of the year.
