I am a fanatic devotee of In Control, using version 2.0.3 (which I favor as having a cleaner interface over version 3.0.4 which I also bought). [My life is organized around it’s outlining/table capabilities - I’ve had no use for it’s calendar features.] I briefly tried InfoDepot after In Control disappeared, but it couldn’t match key features of In Control I needed.
Does anyone reading this have ANY CONNECTION to either the original authors (Attain president Dan Chadwick, Robert Alpert, and Alan Albert) or to Chena Software (which bought the remains of Attain) to beseech these people with the prospect for making this antique software available either as an archival posting or as shareware??!
There is one, though only one, annoyance with either of my versions of In Control, which is why I continue to seek the holy grail of the later versions (though without guarantee that they’ll solve the problem). With something like 600++ fonts installed - NO, I don’t want to have to turn them on and off - In Control’s font menu displays only a portion of the font list.
I know that there was a 3.5 version of In Control and I believe that version 4.0.3 was the last available. Can anyone point me in the direction of these versions??!
Thanks!
