AnyNotes' Web Page is far better than the actual product.
This PIM's main screen has four Windows. The screen looks pretty. On the left is a tree which consists of a hierarchy of folders. When one clicks on a folder, the title of the notes it contains appear in an upper window to the right of the tree. When one clicks on a note title, the text of the note appears in a window below the notes' titles window.
It appears that the only way to rearrange the folders in the tree is to select a folder, cut it (CTRL-X) and then paste it where you want it to be. (Actually, this is probably no harder than dragging, and while limiting, is no more limiting than many other PIMs, including ones I use.)
AnyNotes appears to have almost full RTF. One cannot create subscripts or superscripts, but if one pasts text with these into AnyNotes, they appear in it. I believe it has all the other usual RTF capabilities. One can copy a graphic to the clipboard and then paste it into the bottom, note text window.
One can insert links to files and also "copy" Web pages. It appears that what actually happens is that the text of the Web page gets copied and shortcuts to the Web html page and its linked graphics get copied into an "Attachments" window at the right side of the screen. To save the entire Web page it appears that one has to copy each "attachment" to a file on one's hard drive and then "embed" the files into the AnyNote file. This is nothing like MyBase+WebCollect, which automatically stores all of a page into its file.
There are Tabs to show the Tree, a Search window, Favorite notes, a History of notes and folders visited, and a Calendar. There is an easy-to-use event reminder capability tied in with the calendar. (I wish my other PIMs had this.)
One can flag notes and make a note or folder "read only."
All-in-all, this PIM is not for me, although I do wish my others had the Favorites, History, and Calendar/event reminder features.

I find it convenient to distinguish hierarchical organizers from outliners on the versatility of the reorganizing commands. Most two-paned outliners are generally limited in their capacity to reorganize. I draw the line such that only programs allowing selection of discontiguous heading and operations thereon are genuine outliners, this being a day when you can select discontiguous text in a word processor.
The programs designed for organizing information that also are true outliners so defined make up a very select group: ADM (2 and 3 beta); MyInfo; I think InfoSelect; and possibly InfoRecall.

Are the "events" connected in anyway with Folders / Titles / Notes or are they separate altogether?
My own wishes for such features are, I believe, fairly common sense (though I can't say I've found them yet, so maybe they aren't that common after all)
Considering that a PIM/outliner file very often represents a project of some sort, I would expect
a. to be able to link a date/'cost'/priority to each title/heading; like in MyInfo columns
b. automatically link the dates to a calendar / event reminder (rather than having to double-enter them to a dedicated calendar program); Sqwirul had something of sorts in the form of a simple Gantt-like chart
c. do something with the 'costs', like add them for the full project (or at least be able to export them to a program suitable for adding them etc, such as excel); if MyInfo could do this it would be my tool of choice, notwithstanding its oversimplicity in other areas
