There are two pieces of software that seem to do a good job at collecting of notes and then placing them into an outline (actually there are many, which we talk about here a lot, but two that we haven’t mentioned, at least in a while): TakeNote and ndxCards (that’s spelled correctly, no “I”). Does anyone out there in outliners land have experience with either of these? From what I’ve read on the web sites, they seem to perhaps do a good job with Stephen Diamond’s steps 1-5. It’s the writing part that they lack. If you’ve never heard of these and would like to check them out, here are the URLs:
