The naysayers, including me, were wrong. I have gotten a beta ofADM 3. As promised, it supports metadata columns, which is the main change. I think there have also been some subtle changes to make navigation easier and some aesthetic improvements. The developer, Eric Sommer, says it will be released in final form in a couple of weeks, and I see no reason that this shouldn't be possible.

I think that if people give ADM 3 a fair chance, and provide feedback to Eric Sommer on how functionality can be improved -- in other words, what needs to be changed or refined, what needs to be added for ADM to work in respective individual contexts -- there is a good possibility that it can be the killer program, the successor to ECCO and Grandview, that so many of us have been hoping for. As a member of the beta group I have been singularly impressed with how Eric has responded to, at times, a virtual barrage of suggestions and critiques, and how quickly changes have been made.
