I would second Alexander’s praises for BrainStorm. I have been using it since the fall, and find it to be an amazingly useful tool for ... well, for brain storming. Alexander is right when he says it is so unusual… Its simplicity belies a great idea that is really powerful. It’s not a replacement for a genuine outliner like NoteMap or a full-featured PIM. It is kind of like mind-mapping with just text. The web site, where you can download the trial version is
