Yesterday I tried to use PowerPoint. But it wasn’t much fun. I have some overhead transparencies to make for a presentation, and PowerPoint gave me that tight-shoulder, swimming-through-molasses feel that makes computing less than fun. The disconnect between what my mind desired and what my screen displayed was too great for contentment.

So I went back to MORE. I haven’t used MORE for years to do overheads, but I got back in the swing very quickly. And compared to PowerPoint, MORE is so fast, so flexible, so tweakable. Only odd thing—the transitions between slides (not much concern for overheads) don’t take into account the speed of modern processors. ZIP! Small matter.

I was grateful to see that the modern color picker options (such as the Crayon Box) are available in MORE.
