Anybody who's had extended experience with InfoStore? It seems to me that the ability to have lists in nodes is unique, but I'm not sure of its overall ease of use.

You're probably right that it uniquely allows structured lists along with free form notes in a hierarchical database. I believe Ask Sam combines structured and free form notes, but it isn't hierarchical, I don't thin. (I have never used it.)
