Yep, I just tested for myself that even for new users, it’s available at $50 per year.
Though some are not pleased with the idea of an subscription in which the program gets frozen without continued payment, I have to admit that I’m actually not all that unhappy with the arrangement. If one assumes that a new version comes out every two years (at minimum), then that’s a $100 upgrade. MUCH less than an MS Office upgrade or other major software upgrade (Finale, Photoshop, etc.), and—for those who derive much usefuless out of IS—providing at least as much value.
For me, the jury is still out between IS, OneNote, and Zoot. I’ve already bought Zoot, OneNote is available in a 60-day free downloadable trial, and IS—while not available as a free download—does have a one YEAR moneyback guarantee.
Regards,
Adam
