Those who want to spend a lot of money and those who want to spend very little have reason to rejoice at today's news:
1. The developer of ADM, Eric Sommer, indicates that version 3 is close to completion, and it will offer meta-data columns.
2. I spotted a very inexpensive outliner with a fairly complete basic feature set, including mark and gather (but not hoist)and even some innovation in its use of hypertext links. Ovation Outliner at thinkertools.com, selling for around $15.
