Now for one that may indeed lay claim to uniqueness, both in its features and in its pricing. I gather it's an outliner with columns, like Ecco--anyone looking for a Grandview replacement who has some money to spend might take a look--but it uses artificial intelligence algorithms to inter-relate the data. It costs $300, and the developer is also soliciting contributions of $20.
There is no free download--you can try it by asking for a demonstration CD costing $5.

My first thought would be 'scam,' except its developer is one Mitch Kapor. I recall years ago Kapor developer a finder for the Mac called On Location, which could find any file on your drive in a fraction of a secord--really. We had smaller hard drives back then, but still this was an amazing feat, considering that On Location accomplished it without indexing. Simply incredible, and no one seems to have duplicated this functionality. On Location failed in the market, even though it was inexpensive. None of us could understand why.

Brain Agenda? Mitch Kapor? I doubt it. Several other Yahoo PIM groups had discussions about Brain Agenda months ago or earlier. If I recall correctly, at one time there was no trial demo. Then there was, for a price (more than $5, as I recall). The way the developer tried to market it made it clear that he had no experience in software or shareware sales. Mitch Kapor certainly has, thus my doubts.
