CaseSoft has now announced the November release of the second version of Notemap. A description of the new features may be found at

I emailed CaseSoft some questions regarding full rtf capability and graphics. Here is their reply:

“You can insert bullets by going to the Insert menu and choosing Symbol. The Wingdings font has several bullets and other symbols you can insert, and you can copy and paste them to add multiple bullets. [But see below.]

“Strikethrough, superscript and subscript are all options that you can apply to any text. To apply them go to the Format menu and choose Font.

“You cannot insert graphics in NoteMap 2.”

At this point, I’m not at all sure that the additional features are worth the price. However, I did discover that the present NoteMap can insert bullets using the same command as in Jot+. CTRL-SHIFT-L will insert a bullet. I expect that NoteMap 2 will be able to do the same.
