I'm a BIG fan of More 3.1. I use it for my most important work. I wrote my book in it ... "Society's Breakthrough! Releasing Essential Wisdom and Virtue in All the People" (see...www.SocietysBreakthrough.com) and I'm writing my next book in it now.

BUT! I just had a very scary situation. I have a file with lots of important writings and thinkings which somehow got corrupted. And, it seems, so have my back ups?? Word won't read it. MacLink won't read it. I'm a non-techie ...but can you recommen a strategy to save this file.

I haven't gone to OS 10 yet ... but am hoping that when I do, I can transition to OmniOutliner and be satisfied.

Any help is appreciated....

Just a thought, but have you tried increasing MORE's memory allocation in the Finder and then trying to open the file? It's possible it's not actually corrupted but has just grown too big for MORE to open under its default memory allocation.

If this solution works, it's probably a good idea to save a new copy of the file at once under a different name; this'll almost certainly reduce file size, and may cure the problem.
