Since I have recommended MyBase in the past, I feel some obligation to reply to Message 1653. I cannot speak to the MyBase plug-in HTML & Web-page creation capability as I have never used it.

I do know that an earlier, “free” version of the plugin had limited capability, but I don’t know which version the author of Msg 1653 used. I am also surprised at the strong feelings expressed by the author of Msg 1653, as he said he was using a free, evaluation version.

I will forward a de-identified copy of Msg 1653 to the MyBase author for comment.

I continue to believe that MyBase with its WebCollect add-on is exceptional in its ability to save Web pages and for some other tasks. It is not the best PIM for writing.

I will keep this group informed about what I learn from the MyBase author about Msg 1653. I do know that he works hard at upgrading the product and honestly welcomes suggestions. (One of mine will appear in next version.)
