Ain’t nuttin’ in Windows world that comes near GV. However, there is an outliner/diagramming program that does a pretty good job of converting GV files over to its format: Inspiration ver 7.5 at http://www.inspiration.com.

Here’s how to convert:

In GV,

Expand the entire outline [“expand everything”].

Change the outline labeling to “Indentation w/no Labels.”

Mark (highlight) the entire outline

Export the file using the “Paragraph” export option.

Add the ” .txt” extension to the exported file name.

In Inspiration,

Open the exported file.

The Inspiration outline should have virtually the same structure as the GV outline, with perhaps only a little touch-up necessary.
