Steve,
Thank you for the info on MyBase and your other PIM/outliner experiences. I too wander the wasteland of the various PIMs out there in cyber world looking for the perfect application. It is a bit disheartening that with all the smart people building interesting software, no one has come close yet to matching GrandView. I had high hopes for NoteMap when it came out, but the company is already a year late with their promised upgrade and I suspect that sales are low enough that they don’t have much interest in it really. The last I heard they are promising version 2 this spring—whether or not they actually meet this time frame will tell us a lot about their commitment to the product.
I use Zoot a lot. I have found that for capturing already created information, it works great. But it isn’t very good for editing and writing. I also find that it doesn’t have the most appealing interface—so it isn’t particularly inviting to use. But the absence of RTF formatting is its biggest drawback. So I keep looking for an application to replace it.
Thanks again for your info.
Steve Z.
