I have been using GrandView since it was first realeased. I am buying a new laptop with XP Professional, but wanted to be sure that I could use GrandView on it. I give partial credit to GrandView for most of what I have done in my career! When I tried to install GrandView in a DOS window on a friend's computer (Dell laptop running XP Pro,) it wouldn't work.
Has anyone been able to install it successfully on XP Professional?

I'd suggest you install a PC emulator, set up DOS 6.22 as the OS in the emulator & then install Grandview. I use VirtualPC to run DOS and Win311 applications, but there's a couple of free emulators available, the best of which is probably Bochs (http://bochs.sourceforge.net There's another one called DosBox (http://dosbox.zophar.net/ specifically designed to emulate a 286 or 386 running DOS. It's aimed at people who want to play old DOS games, but it should work fine for Grandview (I haven't actually tried it out).

Bob -
I have Grandview working on my office machine (a Dell running XP) with no trouble. Can't remember quite what I did - I think I just copied it over from a floppy into a directory (folder) on the machine and then made a short-cut from the gv.exe file so I could run it from the desktop. I certainly don't remember any problems. I was quite surprised...
