As an oldtime totally nuts GV user, and recent NoteMap purchaser, I can say that NoteMap is a very good and very useful outliner as it exists. Altho, GV is on my harddrive, I use NoteMap all the time because of its ease of use in Windows, printing, etc. Just as important, tho, the NoteMap people recognize the value of GV features, are interested and almost instantly responsive to e-mails. For general market, tho, it is too expensive. Push em a bit, they can offer you a better deal than the one listed on their site. At that price, it got me to buy and I’m a happy camper.

P.S. Notemap is a fine 2 dimensional outliner. But, I’ve always thought that GV’s categories made it almost a 2.5 dimension outliner. Are there any 3 or 4 dimensional outliners out there? If so, they probably aren’t considered “outliners” but some other name that portrays multidimensional representation of information. Haven’t you been deep in an outline, and wished for another direction for a new idea…not just up or down-outline.
OUTLINERS FOREVER.
