outliners for notetaking?

Are there any good outliners that work well for taking realtime notes (such as in a lecture)? Both notemapper and mindmapper are among those that claim this capability, but I wonder if there is something better. Any opinions?

If I were looking for an outliner to use for realtime notetaking, I would look for a single-pane outliner with a complete and easy set of keyboard commands. I wouldn't want to be messing around with menus or moving between windows.
