Cool.

If CaseSoft is like most other software companies, now is the time for us to be giving them our wish-lists.

Here’s mine, in no particular order:

1. Add support for tables within the text at a node. I often have to submit reports containing tabular data, and currently have to add this after copying the draft report to Word. I’d rather do it all in NoteMap and save as RTF.

2. Add ability to read/write OPML.

3. Add support for columns. Built-in columns like “Priority” or “Assigned To” are nice, but it should be possible to add custom columns and display any, all or none of these. (The MyInfo outliner has this about right, I think. But it’s a two-pane outliner, and I definitely want NoteMap to stay a one-paner.)

4. Add support for true mark and gather. Currently, only contiguous nodes can be simultaneously moved. I’d like to be able to move a non-contiguous set of nodes all at once.

5. Fix the bug in the Send To Word feature, so that multi-paragraph nodes are handled correctly.
