Further experimentation:

I constructed an export file from Grandview as suggested, but my version (1.1) of Notemap will not accept it. I get the error message:
“NoteMap cannot open the following file. Unrecognized file format.
Error class: EXDecompressError
Error message: data error”

On its File/Import menu it says it has no Import Wizard, and recommends using cut-and-paste. When I try to open the file using File/Open, although there is an option to select *.* files as well as *.cnm ones (NoteMap’s own format), trying to do so gets the error message.

So it looks as though I may be stuck with cut-and-paste after all…
