Hi outliners!
I just found out this site. Fine!
I am working on a web-based information management system, iForum
(http://wwweud.oulu.fi/iforum/ It core, as name hints, is a bbs like message forum, but is has many other featurse (and in plans much more). Common to almost all these features is outlining. Well it is not simple task to make a outliner interface with pure HTML, but this is what I am trying to do. The data is in a database, and there could be many kinds of relations between items. So some kind of graphic (3D) network map were more versatile tool to organise data, but I believe that traditional hierarchical text based outlining is still more usefull! What do you think?
There is a lot of writings and projects to day for mind mapping an concept mapping, but do you know any references to outling? Best if they would compare these methods. But anything goes, the point of view can be programming, writing, education, any...
Thank you!
Happy May Day!

Here are a few... http://john.redmood.com/brainstorming.html and http://members.ozemail.com.au/~caveman/Creative/Software/essay.htm and http://www.ceap.wcu.edu/Houghton/EDELCompEduc/Themes/Outlining/outlining.html ** Notice here the lame demo of word outling. The demo is actually cool looking, but poorly executed, and Word is such a poor outliner anyway...

P.S. I tried to surf to the URL you posted with no success.
