Thanks, Tomas. As the author of KeyNote, I hope everyone takes your advice :-) I would just like to add that Keynote was written not so much to imitate TreePad as to overcome some of its limitations. TreePad only holds one note (tree) in each file; KeyNote can hold as many notes as you need. TreePad never supported encryption, and only supports RTF in the new shareware version, while KeyNote has always supported both features. The number of side-features in KeyNote is realy great, thanks to neat suggestions I’ve received from users.
KeyNote is not only freeware, but open-source (Mozilla Public License). As I draw plans for version 2.0, I’d hope to enlist some help from other programmers, if any would be interested. Please see the website for details, or email me at [
