I agree that the one-pane outliners is better, at least for my purpose which is organizing information as part of the writing process. I like the structural integrity and simplicity of NoteMap but don’t like the fact it handles extensive text only by linked files which don’t appear on the screen aside from their icon.

Also, I have become addicted to Powermarks this week. It is truly indispensable!
