Anybody have expiernece with the newest version 1.6 of ActionOutline? It looks decent enough although not robust in the that NoteMap seems to be (although I can't really put my finger on why). I'm also another former GrandView user who misses it very badly.

I've looked at AO at various times but was not impressed.
If you don't need graphics, look at Jot+ at www.kingstairs.com
Otherwise, look at Treepad Plus at www.treepad.com or Maple or Maple Pro at www.crystaloffice.com.
There are quite a few similar ones, but the TreePad & Maple seem to be the ones with the most frequent updates at the moment. On any of these, development is sporadic. There may be a flurry of development followed by months of nothing new, or even discontinuance.
InfoSelect at www.miclog.com is perhaps the one with the longest history.
