Steve -
I just realised that my response to yours didn’t get posted.
What I was referring to was the fact that Maxthink’s “bin sort” option is similar to the “name headline” - “send/jump” headline function in Grandview. In fact there’s really very little difference between the functions available in Grandview and Maxthink, except for the latter’s “Randomize” - and GV’s so much easier to use (although maybe that’s just because I’ve put so much more time into it <g>.
Now that Maxthink has a Windows version, the same problem - how to import GV files rears its head again. Now that there are three possible WIN9x competitors - PC-Outline for Windows; NoteMap; and Maxthink - it is features like import and export options that are likely to sway existing DOS users, I’d guess. So far, only PC-Outline is making a serious attempt to accommodate a range of users with its .head option. This means it can import GV files.
Gets my vote - or would do if it looked like coming to market.
