(David Sherman suggested we figure out some way to thank Symantec, so I took the liberty of starting this thread. Reply with your thank you messages. Maybe someone from Symantec will see them someday, maybe not. But saying thank you is always good karma.)
Thanks, Symantec, for letting Dave release binary versions of More and ThinkTank. I've had a long interest in outliners and tree views, and was always told that More was the pinnacle of achievement in this area. Unfortunately at the time that More was commercially available I was too young and poor to afford a copy. Being an honest soul, I did without.
It's great to finally be able to study this product, and see how some great minds came to terms with the UI problems of outlines in ways that are still common practice in current products.

To the folks at Symantec: Down here in Texas we've got a saying: "What goes around, comes around." Which is our quaint way of reminding ourselves that good deeds and bad ones often return to delight or haunt us--long after we've forgotten committing them.
Your release of More 3.1 has turned a former friend back into a friend. Your Norton Utilities response to HFS+ was so slow that it earned you competitors. Your problem, not mine. I just bought the AllSoft product and Tech Tool Pro. Then you quit supporting SAM and I wrote you off. This weekend, I was going to buy Virex. Now it will be Nav. Not because I believe Nav is any better than Virex, but to thank you with my dollars.

I'm in bliss! From the depths of despair to the heights of joy! I've always loved Think Tank and one day picked up a used copy of MORE. This I put it into the hands of a MAC owner with the words "Use this, enjoy this, but DO NOT give it away, for someday, perhaps, I will own a MAC." That day came not long ago and when I went THIS DAY, TODAY, to claim my prize, it WAS NOT THERE! How, how, how would I ever again know CLONING in an outliner, the key to my creativity in outlining story ideas? But HERE YOU ARE! And better than I could have hoped. Thank you Symantec. Thank you, Dave. May the world learn the truth. Less is not MORE!
