Ecco Pro is what you are looking for. It’s not being manufactured any more but you can look for a copy of it somewhere online like Ebay. I just did a search and there is a sealed copy up for auction right now.

Look into Info Select http://www.miclog.com. It’s more of a freeform database than an outliner. It has a lot of features like imbeded databases and spreadsheet-like grids. I use Info Select a lot to organize info that I collect off of the net.
