Last time I checked the Omni-outliner program (http://www.omnigroup.com/products/omnioutliner/download/) looked a little weak, but since then Omni has made some changes and this looks to be a fine little outliner. If you’re using Mac OSX then I recommend that you take a look. The home page says:
OmniOutliner is the premier tool for outlining and organizing your thoughts on MacOS X. We are working to make a tool with all the fun of Symantec’s much-loved and missed MoreTM application for Mac OS, but we’re going to be adding new features in later versions that no outliner has ever had.
* It’s a multi-column outliner or it can be used in single column mode.
* Takes advantage of the OSX built-in inline spell checker.
* Runs fast.
* It looks gorgeous—the most aesthetically pleasing outliner to date.
